The amount listed is sufficient for up to four pieces of jewellery. Please do not send us any more unless otherwise asked by us, and only send us what you feel comfortable posting.

How to send keepsakes:
Our kits now come with a complimentary measuring spoon for ease of use. Please place one spoonful of precious ashes or remains into the provided bag. This amount of precious remains is enough for your keepsakes unless we have specified otherwise. We often only work with a pinch; however, most clients do not want to handle the ashes with their hands and prefer to use a teaspoon. Nothing will ever go to waste, and we will always return what is not required for your keepsake. If possible, please return the measuring spoon so we can clean and disinfect it in order to reduce plastic waste.
Lock of hair and fur:
Please place a tiny amount of hair or fur into the provided bio-degradable bag. We can craft with just one strand of hair or fur if you wish, but generally ask for around 10-20 strands if the hair is brown, black or similar to select from. Please send us 20+ strands if the hair or fur is white, blond, red or grey.
Umbilical cord / Dried Placenta:
We love using your baby’s cord to make a unique piece of keepsake jewellery. A small snippet of your baby’s umbilical cord can be created into a lovely earthy-toned keepsake. We respectfully request that you send us only a small snippet of the umbilical cord, about the size of a small fingernail. The provided umbilical cord stump or dried/pulverized placenta is then professionally preserved in our studio upon arrival. We will always return anything we did not use for your keepsake jewellery.
Generally, we ask for 10ml of expressed breastmilk but can work with as little as 2ml. 10ml of expressed milk is plenty for up to 3 jewellery pieces. The milk does not have to be fresh as the breastmilk is not for consumption. If your milk is frozen, we ask you to thaw it before placing it in the mail. Please send your milk in our provided sterile breastmilk storage bag, wrapped in a paper towel and placed in the second provided breastmilk storage bag. Please do not use zip lock bags, as they do not withstand the pressure of logistics. Any preserved milk that is left over will be returned to you in solid form.
Measuring your ring size:
The Multiziser works like a belt. You can push the end through the buckle to form a ring shape. Slip the Multisizer onto your finger. Adjust to give a comfortable fit, checking that it just slips back over the knuckle. If you feel comfortable with the fit, read off the size indicated by the arrow. We kindly ask that you leave us a written note with your ring size on the provided care card and via email. You can also find our ring size chart here.
Sending your keepsake to us via mail:
Being kind to the environment is very important to us. We pride ourselves on being an eco-friendly and sustainable business. We kindly ask that you reuse your return care kit’s cardboard box and place everything in the prepaid envelope. If applicable, please return the measuring spoon so we can clean and disinfect it in order to reduce plastic waste. We will recycle all paper and cardboard materials here in our Whitsunday Studio. If possible, please don’t use sticky tape or plastic unless you feel it is necessary for the safety of your keepsake.
Take the pouch to your nearest post office for proof of lodgement and lodge it over the counter or conveniently lodge it in a red street posting box.
We suggest retaining your tracking number for your peace of mind.
Our studio is located in a remote town. Therefore regular postage to our beautiful place can take up to 10 business. We check our mail twice weekly, and your precious cargo is securely stored in our post office box until we collect it. AustraliaPost will usually mark your mail as ‘Awaiting Collection’ or “Delivered’ so you know your precious cargo has arrived at our Post box.
Checking, labelling and storing after we receive your keepsake can often take up to 24 hours. We will send you a confirmation email after we have labelled and stored your inclusions. Your email will include an approximate finish date as well.
